Open To The World ’24: Dagilėlis Boys Choir
Bel Canto Choir Vilnius presents – Lithuania’s best boys choir, Dagilėlis! They will perform a heartwarming Christmas concert at St. Catherine’s Church in Vilnius on November 30, 2024. The program will feature contemporary choral works, popular music arrangements, and beloved Christmas classics.
As part of its exclusive Open To The World festival, Bel Canto Choir Vilnius offers a series of exceptional concerts. At 7 PM on November 30, 2024, Dagilėlis, Lithuania’s finest boys choir, will present a special Christmas concert filled with excitement and delightful surprises. Prepare to be swept into the magic of the holiday season with their stirring melodies and festive charm. Dagilėlis’ Christmas program will be enhanced by long-time collaborators, including soloist Viktorija Miškūnaitė, oboist Robertas Beinaris, and others. Additionally, the young soloists of Dagilėlis will perform special solo parts.

The Dagilėlis concert will feature the most beautiful pieces, ranging from Renaissance miniatures to contemporary choral music favorites. The audience will enjoy beloved works such as Mateo Flecha’s “Riu, Riu, Chiu” and James Pierpont’s “Jingle Bells,” alongside compositions by renowned contemporary composers like Karl Jenkins, Morten Lauridsen and John Rutter, as well as popular music arrangements.

A special highlight is their acclaimed performance of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” in which the singers expertly imitate the sounds of nature and jungle creatures, complemented by tasteful choreography. Open To The World 2024
Bel Canto Choir Vilnius’ Open To The World Festival is a unique vocal-choir music project in Lithuania that has become a cherished tradition. It aims to showcase unique modern content and the world’s finest choirs, vocal ensembles, and composers. The festival promotes cultural and choral music innovation and fosters cooperation between Lithuanian and international musicians. It also serves as a platform to nurture Western culture, create music, and grow together.
Born in 2018, Open To The World will present five concerts featuring over 200 singers and musicians this year. The lineup includes two-time Grammy winner, composer, and conductor Christopher Tin (US), Duodeco Vocal Ensemble (LT), Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, A Scalpella Choir (SE), soloists Jamal Moore (US) and Tomas Pavilionis (LT), one of the world’s most renowned vocal ensembles, The Real Group (SE), the barbershop vocal ensemble Lemon Squeezy (SE), vocalist and guitarist Marius Beck (NO), and Lithuania’s premier boys’ choir, Dagilėlis, among others.
